LASIK can help increase your confidence because it eliminates the need for thick prescription glasses and the inconvenience of contact lenses. In addition, VISX laser systems require a shorter procedure time and shorter recovery time because the wound heals quickly. The patient is able to see immediately after the procedure. However, if you would like to have a laser vision correction, you must possess the following qualifications:

	You must be at least 20 years old.
	Your vision must be stable for at least 1 year before the laser procedure.
	Wearing glasses or contact lenses is inconvenient when working, performing daily activities, or impedes your ability to perform certain activities/hobbies such as sports.
	You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
	You are not taking certain medication, such as Roaccutane or Prednisolone.
	You do not have any cornea disease or other types of eye diseases, such as retina detachment, cataract, glaucoma, and dry eye syndrome.
	You must be healthy and do not have serious diseases, such as diabetes and lupus, degenerative or autoimmune diseases. If you are unsure, please consult your physicians before undergoing treatment.
	Have a proper understanding of the expected results after LASIK surgery.
