Vision/Mission/Values

The Pediatric Otolaryngology and Communication Disorder Clinic provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children with the following diseases or disorders:

Ear, nose, throat and related organs - Diseases or conditions that are commonly found are as follows:

Ear:

-	Ear wax blockage, middle ear infection, foreign objects inside the ear, etc.
-	Symptoms include conductive hearing loss, ear pain, fluid in the ear, etc.

Neck: Sore throat, tonsillitis, enlarged adenoids, sinus infection (Sinusitis), chronic sinusitis

Nose:

-	Nasal inflammation from viral, bacterial, or fungal infection, allergens, sinusitis, foreign objects in the nose, nosebleeds, etc.
-	Symptoms include runny nose, sneezing, stuffy nose, mouth breathing, have chronic sinusitis, foul smelling nasal discharge, pain in forehead or cheek area, etc. If have runny nose and have foul smell from one of the nostril, then it usually means you have foreign object inside the nostril.

Abnormalities in speech and communication includes the following disorders or diseases

-	Delayed speech and language development due to the following causes:
-	Hearing impairment, brain dysfunction, retardation, mood disorder, the surrounding circumstance does not promote speaking, autistism, Down's syndrome, etc.
-	Articulation deficiencies - making incorrect or inappropriate sounds
-	Dysfluencies - rhythm disorders, such as stuttering
-	Voice disorder, such as hoarseness, age-inappropriate voice, etc.
-	Speech disorder before and after surgery for cleft lip and/or cleft palate
-	Speech disorder from other causes

The clinic offers the following services and programs:

1.	Audiology Program
2.	Stimulation of speech and language development and treatment speech and language disorders.
3.	General ear, nose and throat surgery, such as tonsil surgery, adenoid surgery, middle ear surgery, etc.
4.	Endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS)
5.	Stimulation of speech and language development in children who has autism, Down's syndrome, etc.
